Tasso & Shrimp Sauté

Ingredients

  • Olive Oil
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper (sliced)
  • 10 oz Mushrooms (diced)
  • 1 Shallot (sliced)
  • ¼ cup Garlic (chopped)
  • 8 oz Savoie's® Pork Tasso (cut into cubed)
  • 8-10oz Shrimp (Peeled & Deveined)
  • Fresh black pepper
  • Savoie's® Seasoning
  • White Cooking Wine

Directions

  • Drizzle olive oil in your skillet that is on medium/high heat.
  • Add your chopped onions, sliced shallots, and chopped garlic.
  • Sauté for about 4-5 minutes.
  • Add your sliced bell peppers, diced mushrooms, and diced pork tasso to the skillet.
  • Season everything with Savoie’s® Seasoning, salt, and black pepper. (Optional: add red pepper)
  • Let it simmer for about 10 minutes with the lid on, stirring occasionally.
  • Add about 2 tbsp of white cooking wine during the simmering time.
  • Take off the lid and add shrimp.
  • Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes until the shrimp are a golden color.
  • Serve and top with garnish of choice.
