Tasso & Shrimp Sauté
Savor the vibrant taste of the South with our Shrimp and Pork Tasso Skillet. Sautéed in olive oil and enriched with a splash of white cooking wine, this dish is simmered until the shrimp turn a beautiful golden color. Ingredients
- Olive Oil
- 1 Red Bell Pepper (sliced)
- 10 oz Mushrooms (diced)
- 1 Shallot (sliced)
- ¼ cup Garlic (chopped)
- 8 oz Savoie's® Pork Tasso (cut into cubed)
- 8-10oz Shrimp (Peeled & Deveined)
- Fresh black pepper
- Savoie's® Seasoning
- White Cooking Wine
Directions
- Drizzle olive oil in your skillet that is on medium/high heat.
- Add your chopped onions, sliced shallots, and chopped garlic.
- Sauté for about 4-5 minutes.
- Add your sliced bell peppers, diced mushrooms, and diced pork tasso to the skillet.
- Season everything with Savoie’s® Seasoning, salt, and black pepper. (Optional: add red pepper)
- Let it simmer for about 10 minutes with the lid on, stirring occasionally.
- Add about 2 tbsp of white cooking wine during the simmering time.
- Take off the lid and add shrimp.
- Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes until the shrimp are a golden color.
- Serve and top with garnish of choice.
