To cook sausage, you can use several methods including frying, grilling, baking, or boiling. For a consistent cook, ensure the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Use a meat thermometer to ensure the sausage reaches a safe internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). You can poke a few small holes in the sausage with a fork to prevent them from splitting open while cooking. Allow the sausages to rest for a few minutes after cooking to allow the juices to redistribute.
